Solve tomorrow's challenges, preferably yesterday?

How the automotive industry will be able to solve tomorrow's challenges today

Today, there are major challenges in, among other things, autonomous mobility and the work on adjusting technology and production will be extensive in the future. This means that many companies feel the pressure to be able to deliver ahead of time, in order to stay competitive. How will the transition go and how can we solve the problems that arise?

Joel Rozada, CEO & Founder of The Techno Creatives, believes that one of the solutions is that autonomous mobility will be divided into two distinct subcategories. On the one hand, the general track with self-driving vehicles from companies such as Tesla, but in addition the autonomous track with vehicles that operate independently within a vertical, with companies such as EINRIDE or Golden Ridge.

This in turn will create new companies that do not sell completely according to traditional norms, but companies that work more like NEVS in Trollhättan. New solutions will require a completely different organization regarding sales, support and service. But the new constellations that may arise will contribute to more specialization and place a large part of the responsibility of, among other things, the OEMs on company spin-offs.

– We will see a number of new companies and subsidiaries for the major OEMs. As the industry moves towards a variety of specialized applications like f.e. Golden Ridge Robotics, there will be many opportunities for even smaller companies to specialize in vertical and service.

Perhaps the shared responsibility and use of excellence can be a change that makes the demands of the future easier to fulfill.

Seminar: Future goals for the global automotive industry

On Wednesday, March 25, Joel Rozada will talk about future goals for the global automotive industry at Advanced Engineering. He will also touch on a relevant case – specific experiences of designing, developing and operating a smart autonomous mobility service in China. Joel and his company The Techno Creatives founded Sichuan Golden Ridge Robotics together with a deep collaboration with Baidu (the Chinese version of Google) and have developed the world’s first fully autonomous park rover running the Baidu Apollo stack!
